As we start another new term, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our parents, students, stakeholders and staff members who have contributed towards the making the Suva Grammar Campus into a vibrant centre of intellectual, cultural and sporting activity envisioned to provide quality holistic education.

A new term always ushers in the sense of renewal – a renewal of purpose and collective commitment to excellence in teaching, learning and service to our community. With this comes the firm resolution to achieve desired results and meet deliverables. As such, this year’s theme is “Breaking into New Grounds”. I am enthused by the many exciting initiatives for our Campus that are in the pipeline, all of which are intended to meet the high school education needs of our students and community stakeholders and support the further development and advancement of our school and country.

The alumni of Suva Grammar School has always been our pillar of strength providing technical and financial support for extracurricular activities and academic programmes. The recent historical wins in 2 grades of the Deans Rugby, 3 titles in the National netball and 2 titles in the basketball had only been possible with the steadfast commitment from Grammarians around the world. The school has also initiated an E Learning Programme which is in its kernel stage spearheaded by Mr Jonetani Jioji of California who specializes in E learning. The E Learning platform on Google Classroom will pave way for students to bring their devices to engage in deeper learning and grasp 21st skills needed by the fast growing world.

To meet these challenges we need to build on the alliances and collaborative partnerships that the Suva Grammar School has established with parents, ex- scholars, business, government, and other stakeholders.

While the past years tested us in many ways, we have remained resilient and we are moving ahead with renewed vigour to achieve our strategic objectives and commitment to make Suva Grammar an epitome of an outstanding learning institute in the nation – to achieve the school’s vision “To be the Premier School of Fiji this Millennium”.
